As part of its ongoing commitment to industry development and inclusion, CIMA is hosting a private mentorship meetup during the Cultural Cadence Mentorship Program, taking place June 2-6 in Toronto. This initiative is presented in partnership with the International Indigenous Music Summit (IIMS), the Indigenous Music Office, and Full Circle: First Nations Performance.

The program is designed to support the career advancement of emerging Indigenous music industry professionals by fostering meaningful mentorship and stronger industry connections. This dedicated session will bring together CIMA members and Indigenous delegates to help build relationships and facilitate peer-to-peer learning.

Recognizing the challenges that first-time and emerging conference delegates often face, the program provides a welcoming space where mentees can gain insight, confidence, and a clearer understanding of the music industry landscape. Mentors are encouraged to share their experience, offer guidance, and help mentees navigate the sector more effectively.

This initiative reflects CIMA’s ongoing efforts to strengthen bridges between communities and ensure a more inclusive and supportive music ecosystem.
