For the first time, CIMA will be attending the Reeperbahn Campus and Music Festival on Sep 23 - 25 in Hamburg, Germany. CIMA will stage a Canadian Blast on Friday September 24th from 12PM - 5PM at Platzhirsch (Hans-Albers-Platz). The artists are TBA... stay tuned.

Canadian Blast in Europe has been invited to host a few new showcases this fall, and are currently soliciting applications to showcase at the following festivals. In order to apply to perform at Canadian Blast, one must be accepted by the festival. Here are the new opportunities.
It is time to start thinking about 2011 we think, and some festivals are agreeing. So on September 1st , The Great Escape in Brighton, UK is putting Delegate Tickets on sale at the Super Early Bird price of £80. This is a much cheaper rate than one will receive from 2011 onwards, and worth taking advantage of if going to TGE next year is part of your UK and European strategy. The Great Escape will occur from May 12th-14th, 2011 and more information is available at www.escapegreat.com. The SXSW Music Festival is celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year in Austin, Texas from March 16-20, 2011. Apply now to showcase at one of the biggest music festivals in North America. Submit your application by October 7, 2010 and pay only $30 U.S. Fee for applications submitted after October 7, 2010 is $40 U.S. All applications must be submitted no later than the final deadline of November 5, 2010. For more information about SXSW visit the SXSW website. For the first time ever, CIMA will travel to Sofia, Bulgaria to participate in the South Eastern European Music Event, or SEEME. The Perms will perform at our first ever Canadian Blast in Southeastern Europe, while CIMA will participate in panels during the conference. The conference will happen from Sep 15-18 while The Perms will perform at The 4KM Party Centre on Sep 16. For more info, visit www.seeme-sofia.com.
Festival Music House, the official three-day musical component of the Toronto International Film Festival, will take place at The Roosevelt Room on September 13, 14 and 15.
Headlining the three-night gala will be Montreal indie pop trailblazers Stars (Sept. 13), Juno Award-winning and Platinum-selling singer-songwriter City And Colour (Sept. 14) and The Tragically Hip frontman and folk-rock legend Gord Downie (Sept. 15).
After Festival Music House and as part of the Toronto International Film Festival event, CIMA is presenting a seminar “Score. Place. Win. An Insiders Look At Scoring And Music Placement In The Los Angeles Film & TV Music Market”. This event features US Consultants such as Madonna Wade-Reed (Blu Mountain State, Castle, Smallville) and others TBA, Joel C. High and Rebecca Rienks, based in Los Angeles and music supervisors/executives participating in the TIFF events. The seminar will be held on September 16th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Ontario Investment and Trade Centre, 250 Yonge Street, 35th Floor in Toronto.
